Rod has produced a wide array of acts and now owns and runs Post Electric Studio in Leith. He  is a founding member and lead guitarist of Scottish group Idlewild. He is a founder of the Fruit Tree Foundation, a music for mental health initiative, and continues to work on projects in this field.
