With over 20 years’ experience in independent music manufacturing Lisa Edwards has been involved in all aspects of the production of physical audio formats, supplying vinyl throughout that time to emerging artists; established musicians from Nick Cave to Idles; independent labels from Hyperdub to Mute, art installations and soundtracks.
From the format’s notable decline in the wake of the CD onslaught, through its survival as a dance and singles format right through to its popular current resurgence Lisa and Key Production have never stopped manufacturing vinyl. Managing vinyl production during this period has given her an insight into the changing attitude of artists, labels and the public to the vinyl format.
